Minerva McGonagall was born to a Muggle man named Robert McGonagall and a half-blood/pure-blood wizard, Isobel Ross. McGonagall is a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she is also the head of Gryffindor House and the deputy headmistress under Albus Dumbledore.

She was a member of the Order of Merlin, the Order of the Phoenix, and Dumbledore's Army. She fought several battles of both wars, including the Battle of the Astronomy Tower and the Battle of Hogwarts (where she led the resistance against Lord Voldemort). Also, she fought against the new Dark Lord, Adrian Miller, and his Death Eaters in 2020.
