Alternate Sebastian Sallow is Sebastian Sallow in an alternate created by the Keepers, who showed Lauren what Sebastian becomes when she dies.

In this alternate world, Sebastian accidentally killed Lauren with a killing curse. Actually, he wanted to kill Ominis, but Lauren jumped in front of Ominis and died immediately. He has been seen enjoying dark arts too much and almost tries to bring back Lauren from the dead by dark magic, but fails eventually.

Magical abilities and skills

• Legilimency: He was particularly talented and skilled in Legilimency, and as an adult, Black claimed he was the most accomplished Legilimens the world had ever seen.

• Apparition: In an alternate reality, Sebastian was exceptionally proficient in Apparition and could apparate with pinpoint accuracy even when locked in combat, using this ability to dodge and evade spells when duelling Ominis. Sebastian could also apparate silently, something only he and Black were reputed to do.

• Charisma and manipulation: Sebastian was a highly charismatic and confident individual, which impressed his fellow students and allowed him to sway and manipulate his closest friends.

• Dark Arts: Sebastian's earliest known awareness of the Dark Arts was when he was a child and learned that his uncle Solomon had cast an Unforgivable Curse during his time as an Auror. In an alternate reality, he becomes more skilled in the dark arts and eventually becomes obsessed with this. After Lauren's death, he tried to bring her back with dark magic even but failed.

• Duelling: The champion of the Crossed Wands duelling club and one of the most skillful duellists in Hogwarts, Sebastian was recognized by his fellow students as an accomplished and fearsome combatant.

• Wand: Sebastian owned a wand, which he likely acquired from Gerbold Ollivander at the age of eleven, like most other wizards.

• Owl: Sebastian owned an owl which he used to send posts to his friends, most notably the close friend he acquired in his fifth year.

• Crest: Sebastian was given this crest by his sister Anne, which he has kept with him ever since.

• Slytherin's Spellbook: After discovering this spellbook in Slytherin's Scriptorium, Sebastian confiscated it for himself. Through it, he learned much more about the Dark Arts, including the Unforgivable Curses. The spellbook was destroyed by Anne Sallow shortly after their uncle Solomon's murder. Years later, he restored a book because he tried to bring back her late girlfriend, Lauren Raven, who was killed by Rookwood years ago.

• Relic: Sebastian pilfered this relic, which he thought was capable of saving Anne, from the Feldcroft Catacomb and used it to summon Inferi. It was destroyed by Solomon Sallow; however, years later, it was restored again by Sebastian.
